Before joining Charis Neurology, Astrid served as a lead Nurse Practitioner at a high-volume neurology practice and spent years managing patients in Epilepsy Monitoring Units.

She works closely with Dr. Sherif Makar to manage complex epilepsy cases.

Absolutely. Astrid spent years working in a Spine & Ortho Progressive Care Unit. She has a strong understanding of how spinal conditions intersect with neurology (such as neuropathy or radiculopathy). She can evaluate your symptoms, order necessary MRI Imaging, and discuss pain management strategies or referrals for surgical evaluation if needed.
